If you’re a parent and you love to travel, it can be hard to find places that give you all the experience you want whilst accommodating your family at the same time. We’re always on the lookout for kid-friendly restaurants or activities we can all do together as a family with no age barriers, and when the time comes for a big family holiday away across the globe, we need the same kind of quality assurance. So speaking of food, if you’re looking to skedaddle across the oceans to try out the local cuisine of a country you’ve always wanted to visit, will the kids enjoy it too? Here are some of the best places for family-friendly cuisine.
Why Not Try Singapore?
It may be a little further than the destinations we usually plan in the western half of the world, but countries like Singapore have a whole host of meal options available no matter where you go. Whilst you’re here, you could even pick up a credit card dining promotion, which makes eating along the banks of the cities with the best street food in the world have so many more rewards than just indulging in great tasting food.
If you have a more adventurous spirit amongst your little ones, you can easily get them interested in some of this famous local cuisine, as the strong tastes can leave a good cultural impression. Plenty of noodle-based dishes that are fun to dig into, considering kids love stringy pasta at the best of times, and soups that are easy to swallow. Plus there’s a lot of good puddings to go around!
The Ol’ US of A
America is a melting pot of cultures, and that means there’s always something different to try wherever you choose to touch down. Considering Texas itself is the size of France, parts of Poland and a bit of Belgium put together, there’s a lot to discover for you and your family. That makes a trip to find some good food a whole lot more fun!
A lot of local restaurants in America have great twists on the old classics, sure to spice up any of your children’s beloved meals with a little extra flavor and fun. Not to mention, the portions are a lot larger than what you’d get anywhere else!
Head to Mexico
We eat a lot of this kind of food at home as it’s easy to prepare and we can always put a childish spin on it. Burritos are like little parcels of secret vegetables! Mexico is a country full of great flavors for people to sink their teeth into, and often enough they’re wrapped in soft shells of floury tortillas, at least at the tourist traps they are! This, however, makes Mexican food easy for kids to get on with it, and with the number of colors and flavors in them, they’ll be interested in eating them too!
All countries have good cuisine, introduce your family to these wonders!
