Chattanooga Tennesee has always been in my bucket list for years every time we passed by I wanted to stop so bad to explore it and this year I got to tick off my bucket list. My daughter and my friend came with me since my husband and baby won’t be able to come with Thursday May 25 is when we decide to head to Tennesee since it’s 7 hours from where we live it took us 10 hours hahahaha! so my gps lead me to back roads instead in the free way it was raining non stop so we can’t go faster while driving we had to stop every hour haha just because we need to grab a bite or to pee which we shouldn’t done that we even stopped because we saw a lost dog soaking wet in the rain I had to go back from where we saw the dog but no luck he is gone! so I decided I am no longer stopping since it already consumed most of my time.
We had an over night stop at the Double Tree Hilton hotel which it’s decent but the bed is not comfortable my back hurts so bad when I woke up not good! but the location is good and staff were nice so I guess I will not complain that much and we only stayed there over night.
Our first day in Chattanooga we went straight ahead to see the attractions we went to see the Ruby falls luckily we went there earlier around 9ish because i’ve heard the lines can get long so you might want to consider that. I was able to take a lot of pictures but I only have couple good pictures because the cave was dark and it is hard to take pictures but luckily I had a good picture of the falls. inside the cave felt good it’s not freezing but it was refreshing there’s no signal so you own’t be able to txt or call since it’s 260ft from above. You’ll be joining in a one big tour group with a tour guide the tour lasted for an hour so you need to wear good shoes. The cave was very impressive my pictures don’t do justice.
Consider to do a 3 hour sight see at Rock city I would not recommend taking an infant because first it can get really hot second the caves can be very tight and the stone too are huge very tight to squeeze in so I do not recommend that. The trail was long they even have a hanging bridge which was totally cool! there are two trails, the long one with stones that are tight to squeeze in that leads you all the way to the top and the short one that will lead you to the water falls. It was a great experience to go see the rock city specially you can see 7 states its absolutely stunning.
After hiking and sight seeing it was a long day so we decided to check in to our hotel. The hotel is nice and huge and they have restaurant, gym, spa and swimming pool and jacuzzi which sounds so great! after basking under the heat of the sun. You can check out here for my hotel experience.
Friday evening we had a very delectable meal at the Broad Street Grille for dinner at the hotel I had the blackened Grouper same with my friend and my daughter had the Chicken. Because it was very tasty I was so curious who made my meal I get to meet the chef he was so nice and pleased that we like his cooked and they we’re nice enough to give me a huge dessert with candle for me to blow since it’s my birthday which I didn’t know and I totally forgot haha. heading back to our room the hotel sent me a bites and champagne yeah! you bet I partied haha. When you decide to stay at The Chattanoogan please dine in at their restaurant you own’t regret it I promise!
After exploring the main attraction of Chattanooga it’s time to explore the other side of the city. The Warehouse row is adjacent to the hotel like 8 minutes walk they have decent shops such as J.crew, Anthropologie and much more you can visit their website here my favorite part of this mall is that it is unique it looks like an old brick building and the main doors are old steel I suggest to visit this mall. Across from the street is the bus station I definitely recommend that you park your car to the garage and use the free electric shuttle bus that way you can explore and see the city more.
This is the electric bus station buses arrives every 20 minutes people are working here are so nice they are very hospitable, helpful and friendly I like the southern hospitality!
I was not able to check out the aquarium but this is perfect for families with kids the time when I was there they have pop up shops but I am not sure if they do it every weekend it’s pretty cool though.
The river walk
We were able to check out the river walk but not so much I wish we did rent a bicycle to explore around but it’s ok after checking out river walk we had lunch at a food court which is next to the aquarium we had hotdogs and nuggets something simple.
before exploring North Shore we went to Good dog restaurant I had a Veggiedog it was tasty I can’t even tell that it’s veggiedog after that we only explored about 20 minutes in this place I didn’t really like it though but and we were tired of walking so we head back to the hotel but theres a bridge that you can walk I suggest doing that taking a scenic walk it was actually pretty cool.
The Chattanoogan hotel
Back in our hotel room I did a little bit of my fashion photo shoot had ice cream, went in the pool since it’s our last night went to the gym and I had the best Hot Stone massage ever! that night we decided for dinner to get some Chinese food we were gonna go to the Boat House restaurant but the restaurant is pretty popular and they don’t do reservation so they’re pretty packed ok we went to this Chinese restaurant 3 blocks away from the hotel I tell you what do not ever go there I got really sick I was puking and I was not feeling good for 3 nights my appetite went down that’s how terrible this place is and I told my self I will never ever eat Chinese food again that’s how bad it was. Sunday, we had breakfast at the hotel I had scrambled eggs it was the best! scrambled eggs i’ve ever had like no kidding the was was amazing my experience in Chattanooga and the hotel was amazing I am not done exploring Chattanooga I will come back when my baby is older. Let me know if you guys have questions or if ever you’ll decide or will visit Chattanooga tag me on Instagram I would love to see your photos!
