How I lost 6 pounds in two weeks
I am not a dietician so please consult with your doctor first. In this post, all are from my opinion and experience, this is not a sponsored post either.
We all know that we are a carb eater and who does not like carbs? I mean I can eat it alone for all day and make it a meal but how on earth do you cut carbs? Recently I noticed I have eaten carbs so much non stop and I could not lose that baby weight I have. I’m six pounds far from my normal weight and yet it is so hard for me to lose it not until one day I decided to cut the bad carbs instead of eating good carbs. Three weeks ago I embarked on a no carbs week and see how it goes my first week was not good it was on and off the craving was still there it was bad but yet I manage to practice myself and resist for it. My second week was excellent I only had a one-time craving and I didn’t fell for it as my body got used to it all I have never felt so achieved in my life before and this one was the winner.
This week is my third week and I could not be any happier I no longer feel bloated, gassy and feel any uncomfortable stomach pain that I have to chew on Tums every single meal. I even cut eating meat on weekdays I now only eat meat on weekends and It feels so good I could not explain how I feel. I’m pretty sure you’re thinking what protein do I eat on weekdays it’s simple you will be surprised on how many protein alternatives there is, my main protein meal is actually fish, eggs, tofu, and a protein shake I live for those and my carbs since I love rice like I cannot live without rice in any kind of meals I eat I substitute it with Cauliflower rice they make me full and no gas and bloating at all I definitely would totally recommend the Cauliflower rice as a regular rice replacement and especially the Green Giant brand in it, it comes with Cauliflower rice, peas, and carrots and oh it smells so good and my eleven-month-old daughter loves it so much she can it a whole tiny bowl of it. You can purchase it from any grocery store you can find it at a veggie aisle and oh mix it with quinoa too it tastes good and it’s healthy for you.
Before I started this “no bad carbs week” my weight was 131 pounds and this third week I am down to 126 pounds how awesome is that? in two weeks I lost six pounds and I am so happy. literally, every morning after I go to the bathroom I step on a weighing scale and I can see those numbers dropping every single time I get on it and that’s how I’m motivated. My goal in this journey is to eat healthier, be happy of what I eat and not feeling guilty at all and most of all change my lifestyle on what I eat. If ever you want to decide to do this you have to do it slowly because if you’ll abrupt it, it won’t work for you-you’ll feel that craving and just tend to binge. here is an example of my meals for this week on Sunday’s I meal prep I make breakfast, lunch, and dinner for breakfast I eat Boiled eggs and fruits for snacks I eat a protein bar for lunch I eat Cauliflower rice and fish I mix quinoa with my Cauliflower rice it tasted yummy I don’t use seasoning especially salt it’s bad for you and I don’t like salt at all. My second snack would be nuts sometimes a teaspoon of peanut butter and for my dinner is Cauliflower rice and fish now my meal is pretty much the same meals from Monday to Friday but I sometimes mix and match it if I am not lazy to cook for other recipes it saves me money and I’m not a big eater or picky I love eating a home cook meals because I know that they are not loaded with bad seasoning or oily foods. Have you ever tried Cauliflower rice? I’d like to hear your experience.
